There are some things you simply can’t automate. The massage profession knows from first-hand experience that innovative attempts to create a mechanical replacement for human touch, intuition and practical skill are futile. The idea here is that on-the-table massage experiences feel the way they do because a human being, who is also an expert, is caring for you in a skilled and nurturing way.

Celebrating your naked body is on the same energetic circuit as celebrating a life lived. I know that a deterrent for many people coming to the spa for certain services, namely the Raw Ritual Scrub, is that nudity is something we are taught to be ashamed of in some way. But the story of our lives is written in and on our bodies, our soul’s only home.
